Here is some info on just a couple of the faces you are likely to see when visiting the Playroom.....
Rashelle is the Playroom Director and brings with her years of experience working with children of all ages. She is working on obtaining her teaching certificate, and should complete the last of her classes by the end of 2012. Before working at Bumble, Rashelle was the Director of Brilliant Babies, a drop-in play center for children ages 1 to 5 years of age, for the last 5 and a half years. Where her job description ranged from daily business operations to changing diapers, playing on the floor and making messy art projects! Working with children is her passion, and she looks forward to lending her expertise to Bumble's playroom! Rashelle is also CPR and First Aid certified for your child's safety.
Nora is dedicated to the field of child development and has worked with children in many capacities as long as she can remember. Before coming to Bumble she worked with Rashelle at Brilliant Babies and taught the Prelude to Preschool class, for 2 and 3 year olds. After Nora took over the classroom responsibilities at Brilliant Babies they reached full capacity for the first time and had to start a waitlist to accommodate all who were clamoring to join the terrific toddler group! Of the many things that her class encompassed, yoga, story time, craft activities, science experiments are just a few of things she incorporated into her classroom. Nora's specialty is arts and crafts, which she is phenomenal at, and fits in nicely with the playroom theme. Nora is also CPR and First Aid certified for your child's safety.
Emily has been working for Bumble since the beginning. She is wonderful with all ages of children, engaging them in activities and imaginative play, as well as making sure they are having the most fun they can during their visit. She is an amazing artist and draws many of the wall decorations and coloring sheets the children enjoy by hand! In addition to working at Bumble, Emily has worked for the last 3 yrs at the Boys & Girls Club of the Peninsula. Where she cares for children ages K-5th grade in the art department. Emily loves children and is working towards her degree, with a minor in child development at San Francisco State.
Alanna is also a student who is looking forward to meeting new kids in Bumble’s Playroom. She currently attends De Anza College with the intent of transferring to UCLA or Chapman University in the Fall of 2012. She is majoring in English literature and is looking forward to pursuing a career in teaching at the high school level. She has previously worked as a teacher’s assistant for children’s dance classes and musical theater, and taught as an English tutor at De Anza College. In addition, Alanna has babysat for many years. In her free time, Alanna loves to read and write poetry, dance, sing, watch Disney movies with her boyfriend, go for hikes at Rancho San Antonio and go to concerts. She hopes that she can share her musical and creative interests with the kids at Bumble and can’t wait to see you there!
